Everyone assumes adults know what they’re doing with money. The truth is, most of us are just winging it.
I started noticing this when I looked at my own friends and peers. On paper, everyone was doing well. We had careers, homes, and retirement accounts. But behind the scenes, there was a quiet feeling that we were all just waiting for a "grown-up manual" to arrive in the mail.
I’m a mom of three kids, spanning elementary through high school. My daily life is a constant rotation of travel soccer schedules, piano lessons, and figuring out what’s for dinner. For years, I was the CEO of our household. Anyone who has done that job knows it’s harder than most corporate roles.
While juggling all of this, I saw the exact same financial stress everywhere. People were making good money but had no idea where it was actually going. They were funding 401(k)s because they knew they should, but had no clue if it was enough. They were paying their tax bills every year without knowing if their overall strategy was actually tax-efficient. They were saving for college out of guilt instead of confidence.
I grew up in this industry. My father founded our firm, so I’ve spent my life seeing what actual, thoughtful financial planning looks like.
I didn't enter this profession to impress people with Wall Street jargon. I did it because I know what it feels like to manage a chaotic life while trying to build a financially independent future. I want to create a space where you can drop the "perfect adult" act, sit down, and simply say, "Here is my situation. Can you help me figure this out?"
When you finally have a clear roadmap, the noise quiets down, the uncertainty fades, and you can start enjoying the life you’re working so hard to build.
